Sharp was born within Rochester (New York) and embraced the world of music. At the Hochstein School of Music, she took classes in cello, clarinet as well as piano. The Boston Conservatory offered her grants for her theatre program at the school. Cum Laude awarded Sharp a B.F.A. Sharp turned her attention to the stage.
